This Privacy Policy explains how Samskara LLC ("Samskara," "we," "us") handles your information when you use Satori AI ("Satori"). It covers the Satori app only. Our website, samskara.co, has its own privacy policy.
The short version

Your conversations are private. No one reads them, including Supriya.

We only look at anonymized, combined patterns, such as which coaching areas are used most, to make Satori better.

Our AI provider, Anthropic, may not use your conversations to train its models.

We never sell your information or use your conversations for advertising.

You're in control. You can download or delete everything at any time.
What we collect
Your conversations may include sensitive information about your feelings, relationships, health or work. We treat every conversation as sensitive. Please share only what you're comfortable sharing, and avoid including other people's private details.
The Satori app does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We use only the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in.
How we use your information

To provide Satori: generating responses, remembering your threads, showing your progress, enforcing the monthly message limit, running paid memberships, and creating your monthly hypnosis tracks.

To improve Satori: we look only at anonymized, combined patterns across all users, such as which coaching areas are used most, how often people return, and average before-and-after ratings. These statistics never identify you, and we never use the content of individual conversations for this.

To communicate with you: important updates about Satori or these policies, and Satori-related emails from Samskara. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

To keep Satori safe: preventing misuse and meeting legal obligations.
Who can see your conversations
No person at Samskara reads your conversations, including Supriya. They are processed automatically to generate Satori's responses. The only exceptions:

You ask us to. For example, if you contact support about a problem in a specific conversation and give us permission to look.

The law requires it, such as a valid court order.

Someone's safety is at serious risk and we believe in good faith that access is necessary to protect them.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that run Satori, and only what each one needs:
These providers process your information on our behalf and under their own security and privacy commitments.
We never sell your personal information, never share it with advertisers, and never use your conversations to target ads.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a merger or sale of Samskara, in which case this policy would continue to protect your information.
How long we keep it

While your account is active, we keep your conversations and progress so Satori can remember them.

When you delete a conversation or your account, we delete it from our active systems within 30 days. Copies in secure backups are erased within 90 days.

If your account is inactive for 24 months, we may delete it after emailing you first.

Billing records (such as invoices and payment history) are kept as long as tax and accounting laws require, even after you delete your account. They never include your conversations.

Anonymized, combined statistics don't identify you and may be kept after your account is deleted.
Security and storage
Your information is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access to our systems is limited and protected. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to protect what you share.
Satori's data is stored in the United States. If you use Satori from outside the U.S., including the EU or UK, your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can:

Download all your conversations, progress, Scorecard and track details from Settings.

Delete any conversation, or your whole account, from Settings.

Correct your account details.

Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.

Ask us what information we hold about you by emailing hello@samskara.co.
If you're in the EU or UK, you also have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Our legal bases are: providing the service you signed up for (contract), your consent (for sensitive information you choose to share, and for marketing emails), and our legitimate interest in keeping Satori safe and improving it with anonymized statistics. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
If you're in a U.S. state with a consumer privacy law (such as California), you have the right to know, access, correct and delete your personal information, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We won't treat you differently for using your rights.
To use any of these rights, email hello@samskara.co. We'll respond within 30 days, and may need to confirm your identity first.
Age requirement
Satori is for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and update the date at the top.
